Jean DEBART acheta la propriété en 1949 mais malheureusement, il décéda quelques mois après.
Son fils, Jean-Lou DEBART se passionna pour les cultures, la vigne plus particulièrement, et planta son premier pied de vigne dans une parcelle juste au-dessus de la maison familiale, en 1960.
Actuellement, la propriété couvre plus d'une centaine d'hectares, dont 60 de vignes en appellation Bordeaux et Bordeaux supérieur.
